Black Stars playmaker, Kudus Mohammed feels very elated to return into action but feels very disappointed with their inability to grind all three points against Egypt.
Ghana got held by the Pharaohs to a pulsating 2-2 draw at the Félix Houphouët-Boignyin Stadium in the second round of matches in the group stage.
Kudus, netted a brace on the 48th and 71st minute, but goals from Omar Marmoush and Mostafa Mohammed on the 69th and 73rd minute respectively shared the points after full time.
Speaking after the game, the West Ham United playmaker feels very excited to be back but fumed and added they made careless mistakes, reason they couldn't emerge victors in the game.
"I'm happy to be back. I worked so hard to get back to the top and help my team, my nation. It's important for me to be here," Kudus said after the match.
"It's a mixed feeling. As a forward, you want your goals to have an impact on the result. We made careless mistakes. Now we'll have to get back to work, win the next one and then see what happens," he stated.
Ghana after the draw, are still at the bottom of Group B with just a point and will need a win at all cost in the last round of matches to advance to the quarter final.
Ghana will take on the Mambas of Mozambique to wrap up the group phase on Monday, January 22, 2024.
