Malik Jabir hailed his side's performance in defeating Tamale Futures Stars 2-0, giving him a win in his first match as technical director of Asante Kotoko.
The Porcupine Warriors legend recently replaced Kwesi Appiah as the club's new technical director, after the latter has been named the Head of Sporting Affairs at the club.
Speaking after the Porcupine's defeated the Division One League club at the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday, Jabir bemoaned his excitement—having ascended the role a few days ago and spending only a few days together.
“I’m happy to start on a winning note. I will pray and work hard so we can maintain momentum this season. I’m currently monitoring the players so with time I can help the coach with my input."
Asante Kotoko will host Hearts of Oak in matchday 13 fixture at the Baba Yara Stadium on December 15.
Meanwhile, the Ghana Premier League is presently on break due to this weekend's General Elections.
