In a preparatory match held on Thursday, the Black Starlets secured a commanding 5-0 victory over the Golden Boys Academy at the Ghanaman Soccer Center of Excellence in Prampram.

The Black Starlets wasted no time asserting their dominance, with goals from Godfred Sarpong, Benjamin Hanson, and Narbi Joseph in the first half setting the stage for a dominant performance.

Sarpong's early strike, just 14 seconds into the game, immediately put the opponents on the back foot, while Hanson's goal in the 19th minute further solidified the Black Starlets' lead. Joseph Narbi extended the advantage with a goal just before halftime.

After the break, Ebenezer Annan added to the tally with a goal five minutes into the second half, before Sarpong netted his second of the day in the 75th minute to seal the emphatic 5-0 win.

The Black Starlets' resounding victory underscores their strong form as they continue preparations for the upcoming U17 WAFU Zone B tournament scheduled to take place in Accra in May of this year.

Under the guidance of coach Laryea Kingston, the team remains unbeaten in their preparatory matches, boasting an impressive record of seven wins and a draw.

Looking ahead, the Starlets are set to participate in a 4-nation tournament in Russia in the middle of next month, further enhancing their competitive readiness and exposure on the international stage.
