Ghana’s U-16 Girls’ team delivered a stunning performance, thrashing Malta 8-1 in a commanding display at the Centenary Stadium in Ta’ Qali-Attard.  

The young Black Maidens started strongly, taking the lead in the 15th minute when Seidatu Wahab coolly finished off a well-worked move. Malta briefly fought back, leveling the score in the 31st minute from the penalty spot.  

However, Ghana responded swiftly, regaining the lead just two minutes later through Priscilla Mensah. The first half ended 2-1 in Ghana’s favor.  

The second half saw a relentless attacking display from Ghana. Christiana Ashiaku netted twice in quick succession, scoring in the 47th and 52nd minutes to make it 4-1.  

Daniella Abass then took over, finding the back of the net in the 65th and 73rd minutes, further extending Ghana’s lead. The onslaught continued as Gloria Adomako Ameaa added a seventh goal in the 82nd minute.  

Wahab then completed her brace in the 89th minute, sealing an emphatic 8-1 victory for Ghana in a match that showcased their attacking prowess.
