Lee Tae-Seok’s lone goal was enough to hand South Korea a narrow 1-0 victory over Ghana in an international friendly at the Seoul World Cup Stadium. 

Coach Otto Addo handed first starting berths to two youngsters Medeama SC’s Prince Owusu and Prince Kwabena Adu - who had a descent game with Gideon Mensah starting as captain.

Ghana’s first attempt on goal came quiet early as Christopher Bonsu Baah weaved in brilliantly but his shot was blocked by Kim-min Jae

The Koreans responded and nearly got the opener but the delivery was well checked strongly by Benjamin Asare. 

Few moments later, Kang-in Lee had his effort blocked by Adjetey, Asare pulled a big save in the process once again to deny Hyun-gyu Oh as well the opener. 

Nine minutes into the second half, Prince Kwabena Adu scored what would have been the best debut goal for himself after flouring down goalkeeper Bum-Keun Song to put it into the net but was flagged up for an offside. 

Finally in the 62nd minute, Lee Tae-seuk headed from Kang-in Lee’s cross at a close range to open the scoring account for the homesters. 

Eleven minutes later, the Tigers of Asia got a penalty to double their lead after Hee-Chan Hwang was brought down in the box. He stepped up for it but was saved by Benjamin Asare 

Kamaldeen Sulemana came so close to scoring with a a little curler but missed the target by few inches. That was close! 

It finished 1-0 after full-time and this is Ghana’s third defeat of the year and all came in friendly matches. 

The Black Stars have enjoyed an unbeaten run in 2025 with five wins and a draw from six matches.
