Viktoria Plzen striker Prince Kwabena Adu has vowed to give his all to secure a place in Ghana’s squad for the 2026 World Cup which is set to take place across the USA, Canada, and Mexico.
The 22-year-old, who is a former player of Bechem United, made his senior Black Stars debut last Friday, coming off the bench in the 56th minute during their 2-0 defeat to Japan at the Toyota Stadium.
Adu replaced captain Antoine Semenyo in that game, marking the beginning of what he hopes will be a sustained run in the national team.
Speaking to the Ghana FA media, Kwabena Adu expressed his determination to impress the technical team ahead of next year’s global tournament.
“From now till the commencement of the World Cup, I will work very hard and prove my worth to the coach. I need to justify my call up into the national team. I’m working tirelessly to achieve my dream of representing Ghana at the World Cup,” he said.
The young striker has been in impressive form for Plzen this season, netting five goals in 14 appearances in the Czech top flight.
