Sudan national team coach Kwesi Appiah has underlined that he is not thinking about making a possible return to Ghana senior national team, the Black Stars.
Appiah is said to be in line as a replacement for Otto Addo, who might be shown the exit from the top post following Ghana's failure to qualify for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations as rife speculations emanate.
The former Black Stars coach led Sudan to secure qualification for the 2025 AFCON in Morocco, while the Black Stars scooped just three points from six matches in Group F of the Afcon qualifiers, which included Angola, Sudan, and Niger.
The poor performance in the qualifiers left Ghana bottom (4th) in the group standing with just three points.
However, In an interview with Asempa FM, Appiah extruded calls for his immediate return to the fold of the Black Stars, obviously stating he is very focused on the Falcons of Jediane.
"If you are a professional coach, you will have to always keep in mind that you must be ready for any opportunity but as of now, I have a contract with Sudan," he said
"For now, I am focused on what I am doing with Sudan but for now, I don't want to say anything because I don't want to contradict myself."
