Black Queens head coach, Nora Hauptle has invited 33 players for camping ahead of their herculean international friendly game against Japan next month.

The squad will, for the first time, see the likes of Bay FC’s Princess D. Marfo, Luton FC’s defender Bridget Adu and former U17 World Cup Golden Boot winner, Mukarama Abdulai, being handed their maiden call ups.

A returning quintet of Wasila Diwura Soale, Nina Norshie, Mavis Owusu, Adama Alhassan and Victoria Osei completes the list of the 33 players invited.

All players are expected to arrive at the team's camp on Tuesday, July 2, in the capital, Accra, as they will use this to also access their readiness ahead of the 2024 Women's Africa Cup of Nations.

The Queens have been out of action for three months now and were last seen in action in February against the Copper Queens of Zambia in the Olympic Games qualifiers

Following their recent impressive performance under the tutelage of head coach Nora Hauptle, the Japan FA feel they will be the perfect opponent for the Nadeshiko Japan to test their strength ahead of the upcoming 2024 Olympic Games, to be held in Paris in August.

The game is slated for July 13, at the Kanazawa Go-Go Curry Stadium in Ishikawa.
