Okwawu United have finally secured qualification to the national first division championship after six year absence following an impressive display in the ongoing 2023 Eastern Regional Division Two Middle League.
The 'Asaase Aban' outfit wrapped up the qualification with a resounding 3-1 win over B.S Pelicans FC on Wednesday afternoon at the Kibi Astro Turf.
They have secured four wins from their opening four matches, having started a 5-0 mauling over Right to Dream Academy.
Their impressive run was followed with another 4-1 win over Super FC and 2-1 triumph over Kwaebibirem United.
They are now leading the Socaloca the ERFA second division league with 12 points after four matches
Having returned into the country's second-tier, Okwawu United will hope to establish themselves as a mainstay and ultimately secure promotion back into the Ghana Premier League.
