Wilfred Osei Kweku Palmer, a former Executive Council member of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has stated that Otto Addo is not suited to lead the Black Stars.

Palmer's remarks come on the back of the Black Stars’ disappointing outing in the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier where they failed to qualify to the tournament for the first time in 21 years, managing just three points from their six matches in Group F, which included Angola, Sudan, and Niger.

In an interview with Asempa FM, Palmer, who is the owner of Tema Youth, expressed his belief that Addo lacks the qualities needed for success.

I've always been clear with my opinion on Otto Addo (that he is not the right man),” he said.

“If you look at the results that he has been producing, do you think he is doing well?.”

Palmer reflected on how Kwesi Appiah was kicked out of the Black Stars and how he has forged ahead in helping udan qualify for the Afcon.

"We said Kwasi Appiah should be sacked because he was not good but he is the one who has helped Sudan to qualify for the 2025 AFCON and beat us in the process."
