Head coach of Bibiani Goldstars, Frimpong Manso has drawn lots of positives from their friendly game against Kotoko yesterday despite losing by 1-0.
The Miners gave the giants a very good run for their money in a pre-season encounter at their base Cape Coast- where they have been training for weeks now to prepare themselves ahead of the new season.
It was really a dicey encounter at the Cape Coast Stadium with both teams taking the game at each other but Bernard Somuah's first half curler made the difference in the end.
Speaking after the game, Goldstars gaffer Frimpong Manso famously known as 'Mayanga', has stated there were lots of positives in the game but then he will also look to right all the few wrongs before the new campaign commences.
"Our pre-season has been very successful. This was our 6th game. We have lost 1-0 but there were a lot of positives from this game. The small things that we think haven’t gone well is what we will work on before the start of the season,” coach Frimpong Manso said.
“We will move back to Bibiani tomorrow and then have a final pre-season friendly match to get ready for the upcoming campaign. We have improved and we need the support of the team.”
Goldstars have ended their training tour in the Central Region and will be returning to Bibiani by the close of today, August 22, and will play a game at the Dun's Park before the main season commences..
