Brands Manager of Nations FC, Kennedy Boakye Ansah, has hailed defender Razak Simpson as arguably the best player in the ongoing 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season.

Simpson has played a crucial role in Nations FC’s impressive campaign, helping them climb to the top of the league table with 54 points, just four matches away from the end of the season.

His consistent and commanding performances at the back have not gone unnoticed, earning him a call-up to the senior national team, the Black Stars, during the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers and the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers.

“He [Razak Simpson] has proven that he is arguably the best player on the local scene, and once he was given an opportunity to play for the Black Stars, we all saw the stuff that he is made of,” Boakye Ansah told Citi Sports.

He further emphasized the club’s commitment to talent development not just for Nations FC, but for the national cause.

“We believe that being in the business of football, we should be able to develop talents not just for Nations FC, but we should be able to develop talents that will be extremely beneficial to our national team,” he added.

Simpson is expected to once again marshal the defence when Nations FC take on Legon Cities in a Matchday 31 clash at the Accra Sports Stadium on Monday.
