FC Samartex 1996 have announced the addition of former Black Stars and Asante Kotoko forward Eric Bekoe to their technical team, in a move designed to strengthen both their present ambitions and long-term development agenda.
Bekoe, renowned for his prolific goal-scoring during his playing days, will serve in a dual capacity — leading Samartex’s youth side while also working as Strikers Coach for the senior team in the Ghana Premier League.
The 2007/08 Ghana Premier League top scorer with Asante Kotoko, Bekoe also featured for Egyptian outfit Petrojet and Berekum Chelsea, earning recognition as one of the most clinical forwards of his generation. He represented Ghana at international level, cementing his place in the country’s football history.
By integrating his wealth of experience and sharp eye for nurturing attacking talent, Samartex expect Bekoe to play a pivotal role in shaping the next wave of footballers while sharpening the cutting edge of the senior team.
