Board member of Hearts of Oak, Vincent Sowah Odotei has stated that he will not resign following the club’s exit from the CAF Confederation Cup.

There has been an outcry from some Phobian fans who have called for the removal of the vociferous football administrator and politician.

After remaining silent for few days, Sowah Odotei gave two radio interviews during which he repeatedly apologized for the club's abysmal performance in the continental club competition.

Sowah Odotei said he intended to stay in office to help his 'beloved' Hearts of Oak and that the club “will prepare well for the league.”

“No, I will not resign as board member unless Togbe Afede says I should resign from the board of Accra Hearts of Oak,” Sowah Odotei said in an interview with Original FM.

"We're very disappointed for not qualifying from the CAF Confederations Cup preliminary stage. We'll prepare very well for the league and move forward,” he added.
