Hearts of Oak coach Aboubakar Ouattara has assured that the team will work hard to return stronger next season after narrowly avoiding relegation last term.

The Rainbow Club finished the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League season in 14th place with 45 points, but a thrilling 3-2 win against Bechem United on the final day of the season saved them from the drop.

In an interview with SportsObama TV, Ouattara acknowledged that the season was a struggle, but vowed to come back stronger. "I can't say it is okay. It is part of the game. We are 18 teams. Everyone is struggling to get a good position," he said.

"Unfortunately, we struggled to stay. It is part of life, part of the game. We accept that challenge. We are going to work hard to come back."

With the start of the new season yet to be announced, Hearts of Oak are expected to be busy in the transfer market to strengthen their squad.

Before then, they will face Asante Kotoko in the inaugural Democracy Cup on July 17 at the Accra Sports Stadium.
