Coach of Skyy FC, Christian Nortey Lokko has heaped praises on his lads for their impressive display despite missing out narrowly in the league cup final.

The Daboase-based side lost painfully by 2-1 to topflight side Dreams FC at the Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports Complex in the first semi final of the FA Cup on Saturday afternoon.

The 'Still Believe' lads got their opening two goals in less than 20 minutes from kickoff through Simba Sylvester and Huzaif Ali but got their two-goal margin reduced by margin kind courtesy Eric Antwi Konadu for the losing side.

The lower division side had a penalty initially to level the score when it was 1-0 but was blown off by Baba Musah.

In an interview after the game, the experience gaffer was really disappointed with the time wasting strategy adopted by his opponents and believed they were the better side and deserved to sail through. However, he added he's really impressed with the win.

"My boys played very well. They played to instructions but there were some little aspect of the game, visa vee officiating. When people walk from here, kick the ball outside and go and pick a ball in terms of time wasting and you are watching without caution them."

"If you want real football, we played the real football. Division one and this is premier division but if you are from outside and you don't know, you might think we are the premier side. We played better, we are not disgraced."

Skyy FC are still second on the zone two log of the ongoing national division one league and will travel to Gomoa to face WAFA on Wednesday, May 17, 2023.
