Black Galaxies captain, Gladson Awako after scoring to power his side to a satisfying victory over Benin, has disclosed hardwork as the reason behind their explosive performance over the weekend.
Ghana humbled the Squirrels by a resounding 3-0 in the first leg of the 2022 Championship of African Nation qualifiers at the Cape Coast Stadium last Sunday.
Reacting to the win after the game, the former U20 World Cup winner stated they really put in extra efforts before the game and is the reason for that performance and added they will do same to approach the second leg this weekend.
"It’s a very good teamwork. We really worked hard for this game and you all can see we did well on the field. I know it’s not done yet so we will prepare and go for the second leg."
Coach Annor Walker's men will travel to Cotonou for the return encounter this Saturday, July 30, 2022.
