The Black Queens of Ghana will face Namibia on Friday afternoon in the first leg of the final round of the 2024 Women's Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
The last time they regrouped was last month where they defeated Benin 5-0 on aggregate win to advance to the final qualifying round of the 2024 Olympic Games.
The senior women national team have been in camp for some days now preparing for the epic tie coming up as they hope to qualify to the WAFCON for the first time since 2018 when Ghana hosted.
Coach Nora Hauptle supervised their final training session yesterday with stars like Evelyn Badu, Portia Boakye, Doris Boaduwaa, Jennifer Cudjoe, Cynthia Findiib Konkan, Janet Egyir, Comfort Yeboah and others all playing a part and are looking poised for selection for the game.
Speaking in a pre-match presser, the Swiss gaffer gave updates on how the players have fared so far since their arrival and strongly feels they are ever ready for the game and will go in for nothing but a win.
"We have had a good training this week and we have all the players fresh and ready. We are looking forward to putting a good performance on the pitch tomorrow."
“It’s about to win it and bring the result. We are fully determined to fulfill our job in the first leg against Namibia."
The game is scheduled for 15:30GMT at the Ohene Gyan Stadium.
