Black Galaxies assistant coach Bismark Kobby Mensah is very optimistic that, they could be the first squad to deliver the CHAN to the country but that will be only when they receive a huge support from Ghanaians.

Kobby Mensah serves as the second deputy gaffer and has been with the team throughout the qualifications, alongside first deputy, Prosper Narteh Ogum and head coach Annor Walker.

The home-based national team just recently moved to Algeria after holding a short training tour in Cairo- whey they edged past the Egypt U20 side and giants Al Ahly in a friendly.

Now, on their arrival in Algiers for the main tournament, the team have held their first training session and will take on the Young Foxes this Saturday in another friendly.

In an interview, the ex- Karela United coach has asked for the support of Ghanaians and strongly believes that will help them deliver the trophy.

"The plan is to win the trophy. We have had good preparations but we humbly request Ghanaians to support the team in prayers and I know our target will be achieved."

Ghana is in Group C together with reigning champions Morocco, Sudan and Madagascar. The competition starts on January 13, 2023.
