Aristica Ciaoba will hope his Aduana side can rebound from their two straight draws, having taken charge of the team a few weeks ago when they travel to University of Ghana Stadium where they will face Legon Cities today (Thursday) at 15:00 GMT.

The hosts are last in 18th place with just eleven points, and they recorded huge losses in their last three games - where they received eight goals into their coffers, while the the Fire Boys managed a blank-less draw against Accra Lions and Berekum Chelsea and are in twelfth place with 14 points.

Match Preview

Legon Cities will be disappointed that they failed to create many chances away at Nations FC, with the team producing no shots in the first half and also no shot on target in the second.

Across 14 matchweeks, the Royals have had the fewest touches inside the opposition's penalty area and also mustered the fewest shots on target per game of any club in the top flight.

Sacked head coach Paa Kwesi Fabin noted that his team struggled in the final third against Nations FC, but highlighted his players' defensive performance, saying: "We didn't manage to create the game that we wanted or the chances that we wanted. We were solid in the latter stages, there was very little in the game and very few opportunities at either end, but the Nations FC took their chances and got the three goals."

Cities have scored 10 goals and conceded on 23 occasions in the top flight, and these records make them the division's first-worst offensive and first-worst defensive team in the division.

Legon Cities are in poor form having lost four of their eight most recent fixtures in the Ghana Premier League, but while they have been beaten in their last three, they did win two and lost one of the prior three.

The away team are yet to win any of their seven away games this season, having been held to a stalemate five times, and they have kept four clean sheets in that period.

The visitors are in not-way-too-good form, as while they have won one, drawn three and lost one of their recent five league outings.

Legon Cities possible starting lineup:
Honu (GK), Akatuk, Akoto (C), Alidu, J. Amoah, Asamoah, Gyesi, Opoku Nti, Quartey, Suraje, Yeboah

Aduana possible starting lineup:
Inusah (GK) (C); Addo, Amoako, Amponsah, Boateng, Duah, Marfo, Obeng, Offei, Sackey, Silas

We say: Legon Cities 0-3 Aduana Stars

Aduana’s poor away record and defensive frailty could be something that the hosts look to exploit in the first half, taking advantage of any tired legs following the celebration of the Xmas festive season.

However, Cities’ struggles in the league could give the visitors the opportunity they need to assert their dominance as the game goes on, and it would not be surprising if Aduana keeps abreast to all the points on Thursday.
