Nations FC nipped on Emmanuel Annor's first half goal to narrowly edge Karela United by 1-0 at the Dr. Kwame Sports Complex in the final fixture of Ghana Premier League match-day 25.

This marks the Sky-Blue's second consecutive win in the league after picking a vital 0-1 away at giants Hearts of Oak last week in the capital.

The Eagles broke the deadlock in the 25th minute courtesy Emmanuel Annor and wasn't any surprising as they were the dominant side throughout the game.

They serged on to take them under their total control and preserved their lead until first half.

Back from recess, Karela United bounced back stronger and began to make progress in their game having come close on few occasions in the early stages.

Coach Nurudeen Amadu's flat 4-4-2 formation wasn't really functioning as expected and his two frontiers Eric Antwi Konadu and Ibrahim Giyasu were always struggling to get the better of Nations FC backline when the balls are being floated.

The Eagles stayed discipline and continued to take full control over the game having dominated in every aspect until full-time.

Nations FC now have consecutive wins after this game and have climbed back to the third spot on the league log with 42 points. They will definitely be awarded three points and three goals as their next fixture is supposed to be against Nsoatreman FC - who have withdrawn from the championship

Unlike Karela United, who have had their recent three-game unbeaten run ended and currently sit right at the top of the relegation zone in the table and will host Aduana Stars in Nalerigu in the next game.
