Hamza Issah scored late to hand Hearts of Oak an important 1-2 away win over Young Apostles FC in a crunchy GPL week six fixture at the Nana Abrefa Nketiah VII Park.

The 'Phobians' made a good start to the game even though they had to chase it at some point following the hosts dominance in the opening minutes of the game.

Both teams kept on taking it at each other leaving an open game and even exchanges and produced anything to excite the fans except goals.

The visitors appeared to have scored from a free kick which was tapped into the net but the goal was subsequently ruled out with the referee awarding a foul for Young Apostles instead.

Just four minutes from the break, Hearts of Oak opened the scoring account through Emmanuel Amankwah who brilliantly curled into the top corner after he was served at a close range by Saani Mohammed.

Nearly a quick response from the Yellow and Blues after Ramzy picked up Daniel Lomotey in the box but the latter fired wide for a goal-kick.

Young Apostles got the leveller finally in the 85th minute through Samuel Prempeh who scored with a sumptuous bicycle kick from outside the box. That was a Puskas-like goal.

Just a minute after getting back in the game, the Rainbow Club restored their lead again through Hamza Issah and it finished 1-2 after full time.

Huge win for Hearts of Oak who have now secured their second win, while the homesters will lose for the first time at home this season.
