Karela United fought back from a goal down to secure a crucial 2-1 victory over Bechem United at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium on Sunday, March 23, 2025.
Desperate for all three points to boost their survival hopes, Karela found themselves trailing just before halftime when Emmanuel Abban put the visitors ahead in the 44th minute.
However, the hosts responded with determination in the second half, piling pressure on the Bechem United defense. Their persistence paid off in the 76th minute when Baba Moro Abdulai struck to restore parity.
Five minutes later, Eric Antwi completed the turnaround with a decisive goal, sealing an important victory for Karela.
The win lifts Karela out of the relegation zone to 15th place with 22 points, while Bechem United, who were aiming for a third consecutive win, remain fifth in the standings with 36 points.
