Nsoatreman made a strong start to their 2024/25 Ghana Premier League campaign with a 2-0 victory over Young Apostles in a tightly contested match at the Nana Konamansah Park.

Despite Young Apoatles fluid attack, Nsoatreman secured the win, bagging the three maximum points.

Nsoatreman took the lead in the 45+2’ minutes when Mohammed Abdul Rahman capped off a well-executed sublime header. His goal came before the referee brought the first half to a closure.

Young Apostles responded strongly after the break, but their pressure did not pay off as they failed to fire home the leveler. Both side’s made four substitutions each in the course of the game.

As the match entered its final stages, Nsoatreman capitalized on a chaotic sequence in the Apostles box. In the 90+2’ minute, super-sub Collins Kudjoe was on hand to fire home a long range free-kick, making it 2-0.

Young Apostles pushed hard to at least pull a goal back, with their forwards coming close on multiple occasions in the dying embers, but Nsoatreman’s defense, marshaled by goalkeeper Sabi Acquah Ferdinand, held firm to secure all three points.

On the ladder board Nsoatreman sits top with 3 points, while Young Apostles lurks bottom (18th) with no points.
