Goals from Ronald Frimpong and Alex Aso earned Bibiani Gold Stars a valuable 2-0 victory away to Bechem United on Wednesday afternoon.
The Hunters had battled valiantly for 90 long minutes, ceding possession and territory to the visitors who racked up over 17 shots - most of which were from range.
Bechem had arguably enjoyed the better opportunities before Frimpong racked up home the Miners first goal in the 32nd minute, before Aso struck the second goal in the 72nd minute mark to send the away end into raptures.
The late turnaround ensured that Gold Stars climbed back to the Premier League summit, extending their points with two points, piling the pressure on second-placed Asante Kotoko - who were destroyed 3-0 by Accra Lions on the same day.
Gold Stars buoyant travellers had scarcely stopped bouncing by the time Aso nabbed his second, scoring a crisp goal with an air of confidence that he has so often been lacking this season as he has spent most of his time, not even in his team's matchday squads.
But, 25-year-old Aso seems to have found his mojo, as he has scored in his side's last two top-flight games.
Gold Stars are sitting top of the league table with 50 points, while Bechem flew downwards to 8th on 40 points.
