FC Samartex 1996 edged Aduana Stars 2–1 in a tightly contested Matchweek 33 fixture of the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League at the Nsenkyire Sports Arena in Samreboi.



This victory solidifies Samartex's position in the top six of the league standings as they lurk right on the sixth spot with 51 points.



The Timber Giants started the match with intensity, pressing high and creating early chances.  Their efforts paid off in the 6th minute when forward Baba Hamadu Musa slotted the ball home past Aduana's goalkeeper to give the hosts the lead to register his 4th goal of the season.



Aduana Stars responded with increased possession and attacking intent.  Their persistence was rewarded in the 32nd minute when Kelvin Obeng found the back of the net, leveling the score at 1–1.



In the second half, both teams sought the winner, but it was Samartex who prevailed. In the 90+2' minute, restoring the home side's lead. Despite Aduana's late efforts, Samartex held on to secure the 2–1 victory.



Samartex forward Baba Hamadu Musa who opened the scoring was a constant threat to Aduana's defense. Kelvin Obeng, on the other hand, who was able to provide the equalizer was also instrumental in Aduana's attacking plays.



This win boosts FC Samartex's confidence as they aim to finish the season strongly.  For Aduana Stars, the loss is a setback in their quest for a higher league position as they are now sitting 10th on the league log with 44 points.
