Vision FC opened their 2025/26 Ghana Premier League campaign with a goalless draw against FC Samartex at the Nii Adjei Kraku II Sports Complex on Sunday, September 14.
The encounter was evenly balanced in the first half, with both sides creating half-chances but failing to find a breakthrough. After the restart, Vision FC looked the brighter of the two, dictating play and pressing for the opener.
Their momentum, however, was halted in the 75th minute when substitute Richmond Ocran was shown a red card just eight minutes after coming on. Reduced to 10 men, Vision were forced to defend deep but still managed to maintain composure and frustrate the visitors.
Despite enjoying the numerical advantage late on, Samartex failed to capitalize and will view the result as two points dropped. Vision, on the other hand, will take encouragement from their resilience and control, particularly on home soil.
Looking ahead, the Timber Giants will host Karela United in their next fixture, while Vision FC travel to Tarkwa for a clash with Medeama SC.
