Hohoe United earned an important 1–0 win over FC Samartex in their Matchweek 24 game of the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League at the Hohoe Sports Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

A second-half goal from defender Kekeli Attor made the difference, as the Pride of Hohoe secured a hard-earned victory to move up the table and improve their chances of staying in the league.

The first half was tight, with very few clear scoring chances for either side. After the break, both teams came back stronger and more attacking. Hohoe United showed more determination, pressing forward in search of a goal.

Their effort paid off in the 49th minute when Attor found space and calmly scored. The goal excited the home fans and later proved to be the only goal of the match.

Samartex tried to fight back and kept possession at times, hoping to equalise. However, Hohoe United’s defence stayed strong and organised under pressure. The Timber Giants found it difficult to create clear chances, especially in the dying embers.

Hohoe United controlled the game well towards the end, slowing the pace and stopping Samartex from building something reasonable. The final whistle confirmed a valuable three points for Hohoe United.

The win moves Hohoe United to 16th place with 27 points, boosting their survival hopes. FC Samartex remain sixth on the table with 36 points and miss the chance to move closer to the top four position.
