Bechem United have had their winless run extended after the fourth round of games after yet another home draw against giants Hearts of Oak on Friday October 3.

Coach Issah Botchway had a team mixed with youthful exuberance and experience with veteran Augustine Okrah playing for the first time this season. Emmanuel Ampiah was also introduced in the game at certain point while ex- Manchester City star Aminu Mohammed warmed the bench once again.

On the part of Hearts for Oak, Osei Asibey returned into line up, last week hero Enoch Asubonteng started from the bench while Prince Owusu Kwabena had his first start.

Despite starting on a higher note, both teams mounted incessant pressure on each other with chances coming at both ends but game still ended goalless.

The ‘Phobians’ came close to scoring after Martin Karikari weaved in from the right but had his strike missed the post by miles. The Hunters also made an incursion on the stroke of half-time in search of the opener but a great defensive work from Osei Asibey denied them.

In the second half, both teams put up some sumptuous display of football coupled with attacks leaving a very competitive game in Bechem.

Hearts of Oak had to do more of defending in the closing moment as the homestears came in stronger but were able to curb all as it finished 0-0 after full-time.

Bechem United after the draw remain winless after four matches and will travel to Young Apostles in the next round of matches.

Hearts of Oak have eight points from their first four games and will return home next to face their bitter rivals Asante Kotoko next week.
