Berekum Chelsea beat Heart of Lions 2–1 in a tough match at the Golden City Park on Sunday afternoon to earn an important win in matchweek 22 of the Ghana Premier League.

The Bibires used their home advantage well and scored at the right times to take all three points. They survived late pressure from the visitors and moved further away from danger on the league table.

Chelsea took the lead in the 22nd minute when left-back Prince Anane calmly scored from the penalty spot, giving the home fans something to cheer about and helping his side grow in confidence.

The Bibires kept their rhythm after the break and made it 2–0 in the 64th minute, with left winger Jonah Attuquaye finishing neatly as Heart of Lions struggled to settle in the second half.

Heart of Lions responded well and gave themselves hope when midfielder Etse Dogli scored in the 71st minute to set up a tense finish.

However, Berekum Chelsea stayed strong in defence in the final minutes. They pushed for a third goal but could not find it, yet they did enough to protect their lead and see out the match.

The win moves Berekum Chelsea up to 14th place with 26 points, easing the pressure on the team. Heart of Lions drop to eighth position with 30 points, missing a chance to climb higher.
