Bibiani Goldstars strengthened their title ambitions with a commanding 2–0 victory over FC Samartex in their matchweek 30 Ghana Premier League clash at Dun’s Park on Wednesday afternoon.
The Miners made a fast start and took the lead in just the 6th minute. Striker Michael Nkoah scored with a calm finish to put Goldstars ahead early in the match.
Goldstars stayed in control and continued to attack. Nkoah later scored his second goal of the game to complete his brace and give his team a strong 2–0 lead.
The Miners kept pushing to score a third goal, but Samartex defended well to stop them. The match ended 2–0 in favour of Bibiani Goldstars.
The win keeps Goldstars in 2nd place with 54 points, while FC Samartex remain 4th with 47 points.
