Eleven Wonders have secured their first win of the season with a 2-0 win over Dreams FC at the Legon Stadium in the final fixture of match-day 12 of the Ghana Premier League.

The Sure Wonders made their intentions very clear and were very desperate to getting their first win of the season and the determination could easily be detected from their approach.

A great team build-up gave the homesters the opening goal in the 33rd minute after Mathew Amponsah headed at a close range from Emmanuel Boateng’s cross from the right.

In the second half, Dreams FC bounced back stronger with some explosive wing-play especially with the introduction of Jonathan Nemorden who became a torn in the flesh on the right but most of his crosses met no connection

In the 55th minute, Edmund Afurapoe doubled the lead for Eleven Wonders with a towering header from a deep corner kick delivery and that consolidated his side’a lead and was the first time they were taking a two-goal lead in the league this term.

Abdul Razak Salifu had a huge opportunity to pull one back for Dreams FC but tapped wide at a close range after a great cross from Ebenezer Adade. That was a huge miss

Abdul Razak in the 70th minute, missed another big chance with once again another poor one on one finish from Nicholas Asante’s cross.

Eleven Wonders finally had their first victory of the season with this win but will remain at the bottom of the league with six points and will host Swedru All Blacks next.

Dreams FC however, will extend their recent losing streak to two and will seek nothing but a win in their next game against Bechem United at home in order to vacate the relegation zone
