Heart of Lions failed to move to the summit of the league after being held by Karela United to a goalless draw at the Kpando Stadium in match-day 12 of the Ghana Premier League.
The Giant Killers started the game on a higher note and made their intentions very clear right from the scratch but finding the net was very difficult.
The ‘Pride snd Passion’ side however looked very resolute and focused much on defending which helped curbed most of the attacks that was made by the host
In the second half, the ‘Dzie Woa Nu’ lads bounced back stronger and took off from where they left with an explosive wing play but Freeman and Ephson despite the series of incursions made couldn’t help find the net.
The ‘Pride and Passion’ outfit also made a good return and kept goalkeeper Lawrence Osei on his toes after testing him on series of occasions but was always equal to the task.
Heart of Lions have failed to clinch the top-spot in the table and are currently found in second position with same points (23) as league leaders Medeama SC. They will play as guests to Nations FC next.
Karela United after salvaging that huge draw have dropped to the eighth position with 17 points and will host Hearts of Oak next.
