Bibiani Goldstars extended their impressive home form with a hard-earned 1–0 victory over title-chasing Aduana FC at the Dun’s Park on Sunday afternoon as they delivered a significant blow to the visitors’ spark in the Ghana Premier League race.

Goldstars, still stung by last weekend’s 2–0 defeat to Nations FC, began with clear intention as they pressed high, dictating the tempo in the early exchanges. Their fast start paid dividends in the 16th minute, when Samuel Atta Kumi glanced in a superb goal, leaving goalkeeper Prince Osei rooted to the spot as the Miners seized a deserved early lead.

Aduana FC attempted to mount a response, piecing together promising spells of possession, but their attacking efforts lacked the incision needed to break down a disciplined Goldstars back line. Coach Cioaba Aristică’s men grew into the game after the break, forcing the Miners onto the defensive with late pressure, yet they failed to carve out the decisive opening.

Goldstars, showing energy and discipline, absorbed the late waves confidently to preserve their narrow advantage and with it, secure their third win in six matches. The result lifts the Miners to 4th place on the league table with 22 points, underscoring their steady climb up the standings.

Aduana FC, meanwhile, suffer a setback after an eight-win start to the campaign. The Ogya Boys have climbed to 1st position with 23 points from 12 matches, as Asante Kotoko and Medeama's match in Kumasi seems to be heading to a draw stalemate, but the Ogya lads will see this as a good opportunity to strengthen their title credentials.
