Kingsley Braye’s lone goal was enough to hand Medeama SC a slim 0-1 away win at Heart of Lions in match-day 16 of the Ghana Premier League.
Braye’s got rewarded with a starting berth this time after coming off the bench last week to save the Mauves and Yellows from what would have been a shocking loss to regional rivals Basake Holy Stars.
He emerged as the hero once again with the only goal in the 20th minute to help Medeama SC survive and claim all three points in Kpando.
While Medeama SC tried preserving their lead with much defending in the second half, the Giant Killers really gave their all with so much intent and purposeful attacks but all proved futile. It finished 1-0 in the end.
Heart of Lions have now lost their last four league matches and are currently on a six-game winless run having dropped from the title race to the seventh position on the log with 23 points.
Medeama SC however, ended the year by bouncing back on winning path and have now returned to the spot once again with 30 points.
