Vision FC bounced back to winning ways in matchweek 16 of the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season with a hard-fought 1-0 home victory over 10th-placed Nations FC at the Nii Adjei Kraku II Sports Complex in Tema Newtown on Saturday afternoon.
A solitary strike from emerging winger Junior Setsofia Agetey proved decisive for the Eeewo Boys, as Nations FC’s hunting expedition in Abrankese fashion ultimately yielded no reward.
The hosts flew out of the blocks, dictating possession and pressing aggressively high up the pitch as they sought to rebound from a difficult run, having gone seven matches without a win, drawing four and losing three.
Their persistence finally paid off on the stroke of half-time. In the 45+2nd minute, 15-year-old Junior Setsofia Agetey showed fine composure inside the area before firing home the opener with a superb finish, sending the home crowd into celebration.
Nations FC improved after the restart and produced brief energy of attacking promise, but despite working their way into dangerous areas, they were unable to convert their few clear openings.
Vision FC, meanwhile, maintained their shape and looked to manage the game as they defended resolutely in the dying embers as the visitors mounted late pressure in search of an equaliser.
The Eeewo Boys ultimately held firm to protect their slender advantage, sealing a morale-boosting victory and bringing an end to their extended winless run.
The result sees Vision FC move to four wins, six draws and six defeats after 16 matches, climbing to 12th place on the Premier League table with 18 points.
Coach Frimpong Manso’s Nations FC, on the other hand, now stand on five wins, four draws and seven defeats from 16 games, slipping to 10th position with 19 points following the defeat in Tema.
