Hearts of Oak have recorded their second straight win to move to the summit of the league after narrowly edging Eleven Wonders by 1-0 in Ghana Premier League match-day 3 opener at the Ohene Gyan Stadium.

The ‘Phobians’ started on a higher note and took the game under their control right from onset and even made some early incursions.

It took the Rainbow Club just eighteen minutes to open the scoring account courtesy Enoch Asubonteng who struck from the edge after a huge scramble in the Wonders zone after a corner kick.

There was an early substitution from coach Mas-Ud Didi Dramani - whom injury had to force him to pull out Ali Mohammed for Baba Adamu.

In the second half, Eleven Wonders were still not really in the game and never had the upper hand over their host despite forcing out some few stops from goalkeeper Benjamin Asare.

Despite both teams having some chances fell on their path, they failed to register a goal in the second phase as the scoreline remained 1-0 until full-time.

Hearts of Oak after the win have now moved to the top of the league log with 7 points and will travel next to the Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park to face Bechem United.

Eleven Wonders are still winless after three matches and will look to end this appalling run when they welcome Young Apostles in the next round of matches.
