Nations FC nipped on Joseph Effah’s towering header to beat Nations FC narrowly by 1-0 at the Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports Complex in a thrilling match-day 19 clash.

The teams set off to a very brighter start having both appealed for a penalty in the opening ten minutes of the game but the referee wasn’t interested in all and waved play on.

Nations FC finally opened the scoring account in the 21st minute courtesy Joseph Effah who leaped high to connect with a towering header from Botchway’s cross.

Few moments later, Emmanuel Marfo came so close to leveling the score but failed to make it count as it finished 1-0 at half-time.

Aduana Stars returned from the break on a blistering note with series of attacks but were very steady at the back.

Despite much of the attacks, it resulted into nothing as it finished with none of the teams getting on the scoresheet.

This is a huge win for Nations FC who have moved to the 11th position with 24 points and will travel to FC Samartex in the next round of matches.

Aduana Stars remain in the fourth position with 32 points despite the painful loss and will travel to Swedru next to face All Blacks.
