Swedru All Blacks battled from behind to secure a 1-1 draw with Heart of Lions in their Ghana Premier League Matchday 8 encounter at the Swedru Sports Stadium on Sunday.

The visitors took the lead early in the second half when Liberian international Chauncy Freeman found the back of the net in the 46th minute, finishing off a swift attacking move to silence the home supporters.

All Blacks, however, grew stronger as the game progressed, pushing forward in search of an equalizer. Their persistence finally paid off in the 81st minute when Rudolf Mensah pounced on a loose ball inside the box to level the score for the hosts.

Despite both sides creating late chances, neither could find a winner before the final whistle, forcing them to share the spoils in an evenly contested match.

The result means Swedru All Blacks maintain their steady form at home, while Heart of Lions continue their search for an away victory this season. All Blacks will next travel to face FC Samartex, as Lions return to Kpando to host Berekum Chelsea in their next league outing.
