Former Hearts of Oak star, Mohammed Polo insists head coach of the club Aboubakar Ouattara has nothing to bring aboard going into the upcoming football season.

The Phobians narrowly escaped relegation after securing a crucial 3-2 win away at Bechem United to retain their Premier League status on the final match-day fixture of the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League.

However, Ouattara who was appointed last season is still at the helm and he's expected to lead the Rainbow Boys for the 2024/2025 campaign.

Polo, meanwhile, insists in an interview with Kumasi-based Oyerepa FM that Ouattara hasn't lived up to expectation as he's still finding it difficult trying to force his way into a settled side.

"I don't understand why Hearts of Oak is still keeping Aboubakar Ouattara as head coach.

"Someone who nearly sent the team to relegation. I don't think he has anything good to offer Hearts of Oak," Polo fumed.

Hearts of Oak are having a busy summer in the transfer market, aiming to be one of the strongest teams ever assembled when the season takes off next month.
