Accra Lions FC coach Ibrahim Tanko has praised his players following their hard-fought 1-0 victory over Hearts of Oak at Accra Sports Stadium on Wednesday.
Goal in the second-half, from Ibrahim Issa, proved enough to extend their tally on the log to 43 points, manning the third spot in the Ghana Premier League.
Even more significant, the victory also saw Accra Lions record their 12th successive victory and lead twelve-placed Hearts of Oak by 8 points.
"Against Hearts of Oak, we knew it was going to be a tough game. We told the boys to play their normal game and definitely, the chances will come and we will make use of it. In all three points against Hearts of Oak is good,” Tanko told the media after the match.
Accra Lions next match is against in-form Aduana Stars on Monday at Accra Sports Stadium, where they will look to continue with their dominance.
