Asante Kotoko striker Albert Amoah says he would be delighted if he is given the chance to play for the Black Stars.

The forward has been in good form for the Porcupine Warriors this season after returning from a short loan spell with Libyan club Al Ahly Benghazi.

Speaking in an interview with Akoma FM, Amoah said representing Ghana at senior national team level is a dream for every footballer.

“Every player would be happy to be part of the Black Stars. So, I think I’m a Ghanaian. So, if I’m part of the Black Stars team, I think I’ll be very happy,” he said.

Amoah added that he is ready to step up if the opportunity comes his way.

“Well, I’m also a player. I think, as far as I’m Ghanaian and I’m playing, I think everyone deserves a chance. So, I think if it comes that I should go and play, I’ll be ready to take on that task,” he added.

The Kotoko striker is expected to be in action on Sunday when the Porcupine Warriors host Hearts of Oak in the Super Clash at the Baba Yara Stadium in Matchday 22 of the Ghana Premier League.
