Asante Kotoko defender Lord Amoah says the club will win all their remaining matches in the Ghana Premier League and go on to lift the title.

The right-back admitted the team has struggled in recent games, including their exit from the MTN FA Cup, and apologised to the supporters.

“We are disappointed with our recent poor performance, including our MTN FA Cup exit. We are sorry for that,” Amoah told Pure FM.

Despite Kotoko trailing league leaders Medeama SC by eight points, Amoah believes the title is still possible.

“I can confidently say that we will win the rest of the games, starting from the Hearts of Oak game this Sunday. I promise we are winning the Ghana Premier League despite Medeama leading us by eight points,” he said.

The defender added that the team will need strong support from the fans as they begin their push for the title against their biggest rivals.

“All we need is the presence of our supporters,” he added.

Asante Kotoko host Hearts of Oak on Sunday in the Matchday 22 crunch fixture, which will be a key match in the race for the league title.
