Asante Kotoko will reportedly miss the service of winger Peter Amidu Acquah due to injury ahead of the big game coming up this weekend against their bitter rivals Hearts of Oak.
The 19-year-old has started the season on a blistering note and is currently the player with the most goal involvements for the Porcupine Warriors this season.
Amidu, has four goals and seven assists in the league, making him the top assister in the Premier League so far.
The game is a very crucial one for the ‘Kum Apem’ lads on the back of their recent appalling performance having exited the FA Cup over the weekend leading to the resignation of their head coach Karim Zito.
With assistant Prince Owusu in charge now as interim coach, the team are working tirelessly at the Adako-Jachie training grounds hoping to get prepared adequately for the game as they have their sights set on nothing but maximum points to redeem themselves.
Looking at the crucial nature of the game, Peter Acquah Amidu’s presence would have been really malleable to the team and was definitely going to add up greatly to the team’s fire ammunition upfront with his pace and skill but is tipped as a strong doubt for the crunchy clash.
The second Super-Clash of the 2025/26 season is scheduled to take place this Sunday, February 15, at the Baba Yara Stadium.
