Chief Executive Officer of Aduana FC, Collin’s Atta Poku has strongly disagreed with everyone making remarks that Asante Kotoko’s Samba O’Neil is the best defender in the country and believes their star Alex Boakye stands tall.
He made these remarks after the ‘Ogya’ lads 1-1 drawn game against the Porcupine Warriors over weekend in the top liner of match-week 10 of the ongoing Ghana Premier League.
The Fire Boys were the first to open the scoring account courtesy Emmanuel Marfo in just six minutes from kickoff to mark his fifth of the season.
Lord Amoah however, equalized in the dying embers of the game with a sumptuous goal having struck from distance to give goalkeeper Prince Osei no chance.
In a post-match interview with Wontumi TV, the seasoned journalist heaped praises on their center-back Alex Boakye for his stupendous performance and added he is currently the best defender in the league
"I hear people in Kumasi say Kotoko centre-back Samba O’Niel is the best in the league, but we disagree. For us, the best centre-back is Alex Boakye of Aduana FC."
Aduana Stars after the draw have dropped to third on the league log with 20 points and will welcome Berekum Chelsea to Dormaa in the next round of matches
