Salim Adams has opened up on the mindset that drove Medeama SC to a crucial victory over Bibiani Gold Stars in their Ghana Premier League showdown on Sunday.
The in-form midfielder was the standout performer on the day, scoring a superb brace to secure all three points and strengthen Medeama’s push for the league title.
Speaking after the match, Adams revealed that the team approached the clash with a do-or-die mentality, describing it as a decisive moment in their campaign.
“This was like a final before a final. If we had failed to win this match, all the work we had put in since the start of the season would have gone to waste,” he said.
The former Hearts of Oak midfielder added that he had been urging his teammates to adopt a winning mentality in the closing stages of the season.
“Since last week, I have been telling my teammates to treat every match as a final,” he emphasized.
With the victory secured, Medeama now shift focus to their next challenge against Berekum Chelsea, a fixture that could further define their title ambitions.
