Newly-signed Asante Kotoko shot-stopper, Mohammed Camara has stated the club's former captain Amos Frimpong, who also happens to be his former teammate, convinced him make this move despite having other offers on his table.

The Porcupine Warriors announced the signing of the Guinean shot-stopper in the ongoing transfer window to add up to Frederick Asare and Seidu Fatao.

The 24-year-old signed a two-year contract with Asante Kotoko after passing all mandatory medical examinations in Kumasi on Friday and will join the club's pre-season on Monday.

Speaking after the move, the enterprising goalie revealed the main reason he joined the Reds and feels it is the right place for him to continue with his career. 

"Amos had a lot of very good things to say about the club; the supporters, the supportive environment, and the ambition to achieve success. This convinced me that Asante Kotoko is the right place for me to continue my career."

He previously had stint at AS Kaloum and his last spell was with SOAR Académie SC- where he made 26 appearances last season in the Guinean topflight.

Mohammed Camara has already capped twice for the senior national team of Guinea.
