The former Guinea U17 goalkeeper has officially sealed a move to the two-time CAF Champions League title holders.

Ghana Premier League heavyweights Asante Kotoko has announced the signing of Guinean shot-stopper Mohamed Camara in the ongoing transfer window.

Camara, who underwent a mandatory medical examination in Kumasi on Friday, has joined the Porcupine Warriors lads on a free transfer.

The 24-year-old signed a two-year contract with Asante Kotoko and will join the club's pre-season on Monday.

The club's official statement reads: “Asante Kotoko is pleased to announce the signing of goalkeeper Mohammed Camara.”

He previously had stint at AS Kaloum and SOAR Académie SC all in the Guinea Premier League.

Camara has already capped twice for the senior national team of Guinea.

Asante Kotoko 10th signing

Camara becomes Asante Kotoko's tenth signing ahead of the 2024–25 season after his acquisition today.

Following the mass contract termination of players at the club, Asante Kotoko have already announced the signing of Sudanese duo AbdoelRahman Yoouef Yagoub and Esmat Hassabalbagi. 

Others new signings who have joined Asante Kotoko are Joseph Alborh, Patrick Asiedu, Emmanuel Antwi, Saaka Dauda, Elvis Kyei Baffour, Albert Amoah and Congolese defender Ndongani Samba Gilbani.

Asante Kotoko are currently preparing for the 2024–25 Ghana Premier League season which is scheduled to start on September 6th, 2024.
