Former Asante Kotoko head coach Charles Kwabla Akonnor says both Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak needs video analyst more than a technical director.
Asante Kotoko won the Ghana Premier league whiles, Hearts of Oak won the MTN FA cup last season.
Both clubs will be competing in the CAF inter-clubs competitions in the upcoming season.
Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak have started pre-season ahead of the season, with Asante Kotoko players reportedly boycotting training over unpaid salaries.
The former Black Stars gaffer insists that Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak need the services of video analyst more than a technical director.
"Kotoko and Hearts must strengthen their technical teams by adding a video analyst," he told Akoma FM.
"We mostly go into Africa without knowing anything about the opponents. The services of a video analyst is really crucial. He does a lot to support tactical planning for for the coach."
"During my days at Kotoko, I entreated management to get one for me and it helped us a lot. During my time with the Black Stars, I also enlisted his services and his presence helped a lot.
"Sometimes coaches are wrongly accused for bad results. Getting a technical director is important but a video analyst is the best thing our clubs need now going into Africa because their services will be very helpful to the teams," he added.
