Asante Kotoko SC have been fined GHS 10,000 and issued with a formal warning by the Ghana Football Association (GFA) Disciplinary Committee following incidents of misconduct during their Ghana Premier League encounter against Medeama SC.

The sanction relates to the league fixture played in November 2025 at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi, a match in which Kotoko scored two late goals to rescue a draw.

In its ruling, the GFA stated that Kotoko failed to ensure the safety of match officials, a breach of league regulations. The club was also found culpable for allowing sections of its supporters to threaten and attack match officials, as well as permitting unauthorised persons access to restricted areas of the stadium, including the players’ tunnel.

The Disciplinary Committee further warned Kotoko that any repeat of similar misconduct could attract more severe sanctions.

Kotoko have been ordered to pay the GHS 10,000 fine within fourteen (14) days of being formally notified of the decision.
